Larissa Jean Owens is a proud alumna of Florida International University College of Law in Miami as well as Rollins College in Winter Park, where she received Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology. Originally from Clinton, Connecticut, her family moved to Florida when she was 12. She grew up in Brevard County and relocated to Orlando in 1993. Orlando is home and the city she adores but her practice covers the entire State of Florida, Washington, D.C., and Connecticut.
After 25+ years as a paralegal, she decided to take what she loves doing to the next level and dove into law school.
Following in the footsteps of her long time mentor, James E. Shepherd IV, with whom she worked for nearly 11 years, she opened her own firm.
Larissa’s practice includes contract disputes, civil litigation, estate planning (wills, trust, living wills, healthcare surrogate, durable power of attorneys), probate administration/litigation, trust administration/litigation, guardianship, small business matters, real estate, tax, intellectual property, international law, and arbitration.
You may call her Larissa, Larissa Jean, or Laury, whichever you prefer.
As a Legal Assistant with Anchor Law, Mary Annabell supports the firm with research, drafting, organization, and client matters, gaining firsthand experience in the day-to-day practice of law. Outside of the legal field, Mary Annabell is a musician, writer, and model. She plays the bass, has published several pieces under a pen name, and enjoys creative expression in many forms. Avidly interested in current events and world affairs, she stays informed about issues that shape law and society, approaching every challenge with curiosity, confidence, and a commitment to justice.
